Information and Communication Technologies

The primary goal of our Information and Communication Technologies course is to prepare our students to adapt to evolving technology, renew themselves, and find their place in the information society. In our lessons, we instill an awareness of using technology creatively and in diverse ways. Our students learn to use technology as a tool in all areas and integrate this awareness into their daily lives.


The goals of our student-centered Information and Communication Technologies course, taught in 5th, 6th, and 7th grades, are as follows:

  • Understanding and effectively using technology,
  • Learning the use of technological tools in daily life,
  • Recognizing computer hardware and software,
  • Understanding the working principles of computers and robots,
  • Gaining knowledge about internet safety and cyberbullying,
  • Learning the principles of digital citizenship,
  • Developing analytical and algorithmic thinking skills,
  • Improving block-based and text-based programming skills,
  • Providing fundamental coding education through robotic materials and applications.

Interdisciplinary projects are carried out through collaborations with other branch teachers. Practical education is provided in our laboratories equipped with a one-to-one computer ratio for students. Through technology clubs such as the Maker and Coding Club and the Robotics Club, students experience the importance of creating with technology through various activities.
